Age of growing pains

The age at which growing pains occur is usually between the ages of 3 and 12. Growing pains are a unique physiologic phenomenon that occurs during a child’s development. When the bones grow faster and the local muscles and ligaments grow slower, or when the amount of activity is too great, the local muscles and ligaments will be involved, resulting in pain, which is most commonly seen in children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old who are growing. Growing pains usually appear in the late afternoon or evening, and the painful area usually has no trauma or other stimuli, can move normally, and the local tissues have no obvious redness, swelling or pressure pain. Growing pains are mainly intermittent, and the pain can be recurrent, usually for several months or even years.
