Cefixime granules do not treat cough. Cefixime granules are an antibiotic that belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics. This kind of antibiotic is mainly for diseases caused by bacterial infections, such as bronchitis and pneumonia caused by bacterial infections, or urinary tract infections and intestinal infections caused by bacterial infections. Cough, on the other hand, is only a clinical symptom, mostly seen in respiratory diseases, including pneumonia, bronchiectasis, and the common cold, which means that there are many causes of cough, not necessarily caused by bacterial infections. Therefore, cefixime is not useful for coughs caused by viral infections, and cefixime does not have the effect of relieving cough and expectorant phlegm.
