Do duodenal ulcers have anything to do with farting?

Duodenal ulcers have little to do with farting. Farting is a normal physiologic phenomenon, a gas produced by food in the presence of normal flora of the digestive tract running downward through intestinal peristalsis and expelled from the anus. Duodenal ulcer is an inflammatory reaction that occurs in the mucosa of the duodenum, causing an ulcer. It is currently believed that duodenal ulcers are related to many factors in the lower cleft. 1. Excessive gastric acid and pepsin: excessive secretion of gastric acid and pepsin leads to mucosal damage and ulcers. 2. Helicobacter pylori infection: Helicobacter pylori infection attacks the mucosa and destroys the mucosal barrier, resulting in ulcers. 3. Others: such as drugs, genetic susceptibility, abnormal mucosal defense and repair, heavy drinking and smoking. The common clinical manifestation of duodenal ulcer is epigastric pain, the nature of which is nocturnal pain, hunger pain and so on. Therefore, in summary, it can be learned that there is no obvious correlation between duodenal ulcer and farting. Farting is not clinically significant. However, if the symptoms of abdominal pain, should be timely consultation, perfect gastroscopy and other related examinations, under the guidance of the doctor to give targeted treatment.
