What does breast class 1, class 2, class 3, class 4 mean?

Breast grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 usually refer to the common BI-RADS classification, which provides clinicians with an important basis for diagnosis. BI-RADS classification, usually divided into 0-6 seven grades. The initial ultrasound judgment of the nature of the mass is based on the size of the breast mass, whether it is smooth in appearance, whether there is hemorrhage or calcification within the mass, and whether there are abnormally enlarged lymph nodes in the corresponding axilla. Usually grade 0 requires other tests to determine, grade 1-3 are mostly benign lesions that require regular ultrasound examination, and surgical resection can be considered if the mass suddenly increases in size. Grade 4 is divided into three subgrades: 4A, 4B, and 4C. 4A indicates that the mass has a 10% chance of being malignant, and 4C indicates that the mass has about a 50% chance of being malignant. Therefore, when a patient enters grade 4, he or she will be advised to undergo a puncture biopsy or surgical excision. If the grade is 5 or 6, the mass is more clearly malignant, and surgical excision should be performed aggressively. Therefore, in the breast physical examination should go to the regular hospital examination, found that there are breast nodules should seek professional physician diagnosis and regular follow-up review, once highly suspected of malignant tumors should be treated in a timely manner, to avoid delay in the condition.
