What causes chin breakouts

The common cause of chin acne is acne vulgaris, the pathogenesis of which is unknown. Common triggers include genetic factors, androgen-induced sebum secretion, keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts, propagation of Propionibacterium acnes, and immune-inflammatory reactions. 1. Genetic factors: acne often has family aggregation. 2. Large amount of sebum secretion: excessive secretion of androgens, oily diet and other factors may induce an increase in sebum secretion, which in the long run may clog pores, cause bacterial growth and induce acne. 3. Keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts: When androgen secretion is too high and the follicular opening is infected by Propionibacterium acnes, the keratinocytes of the follicular ducts may proliferate and keratinize excessively, leading to blockage of sebum excretion and accumulation of sebum at the follicular opening, resulting in the formation of acne. 4. Inflammatory response: When Propionibacterium acnes is infected and pro-inflammatory substances (e.g. pro-inflammatory lipids, pro-inflammatory cytokines) are secreted in large quantities, an immune-inflammatory response is formed, resulting in damage to and rupture of the hair follicle wall, and the various follicular contents spill into the dermis, causing inflammation around the follicular sebaceous gland unit and inducing acne. 5. In addition, irregular work and rest, poor mood and other factors may also trigger the emergence of acne, aggravation. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the dermatology department of a regular hospital for timely treatment of chin acne, and the above medications need to be used under the guidance of a doctor.
