Buddha’s hand, pungent, bitter, sour, warm in nature; belongs to the liver, spleen, stomach and lung meridians. Buddha’s hand is effective in relieving liver depression (treating depression by unblocking liver qi), regulating qi and neutralizing the middle (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach to make the spleen and stomach function smoothly), and drying dampness and resolving phlegm (dispelling phlegm in the body with dampness-drying medicines). Buddha’s hand is mainly used for liver depression and qi stagnation (poor qi and blood transportation of the liver, emotional depression) and liver-stomach disharmony (disharmony between the ascending liver and descending stomach) of chest and ribs distension and pain, epigastric fullness (stomach distension and discomfort), epigastric distension and pain of spleen and stomach qi stagnation, vomiting and poor appetite, coughing for a long period of time with a lot of phlegm, and pain in the chest and breasts. Be cautious of using Buddha’s Hand in cases of Yin deficiency with heat and Qi deficiency without stagnation. Please do not use the medicine on your own. If you feel unwell, it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation.
