A few frequently asked questions about double eyelid surgery

1.How long can I recover after the surgery? Generally the swelling is the most swollen within 3 days after surgery, the swelling will slowly subside after the stitches are removed in a week, the basic nature will be natural in 3 months to 6 months, and the basic shape will be fixed in a year, but the longer the recovery time, the better. 2. Are the scars of the surgery obvious? Generally, the scars are hidden in the double eyelids and cannot be seen when the eyes are open, but when the eyes are closed, you can see the linear scars, especially within six months after the surgery, which will slowly fade after one year. 3.Does the surgery have any effect on my eyesight? No. There is no such effect. Some people can recover from local edema and congestion, or tearing of the eyes due to irritation, or blurred eyes after applying eye ointment after surgery. 4.How long should I rest after the surgery? On the day of surgery, you need to rest because you are blinded by the gauze. After that, you can maintain normal work and rest, and do not exercise strenuously for a week after surgery. After surgery, it is good to maintain the normal state of open and closed eyes to facilitate the full formation of double eyelids. 5.Does it matter if I feel that my eyes are not the same after surgery? In the early stage, it is normal for the two eyes to be swollen differently, so there is no need to be concerned about it, and it can be recovered slowly later. The surgeon will repeatedly measure and make the same for you when doing the surgery, but there are some differences in the structure of both eyes, and the habitual movements of both eyes may be different, so the surgery is the same, but the recovery may not be absolutely the same, just like the natural double eyelids also have differences, as long as the two eyes are not very different, don’t stick to the small differences.
