What’s with the involuntary thumb twitching?

Involuntary thumb twitching may be related to physiological factors, or it may be caused by hyperthyroidism, Parkinson’s disease and other reasons.
1. Physiological factors: Suddenly stimulated by stressful events, resulting in over-excited, nervous, or long hours of manual work, resulting in thumb muscle strain, may cause involuntary thumb tremor symptoms.
2. Hyperthyroidism: Patients with this disease have increased thyroid function, increased thyroid hormone secretion, and increased basal metabolic rate, which may cause involuntary tremor of the thumbs, and may also be accompanied by hyperphagia, temper tantrums, and other manifestations.
3. Parkinson’s disease: the disease is usually caused by myelin sheath loss, neuron degeneration and other factors, resulting in neurodegenerative diseases, which can lead to extrapyramidal dysfunction, the emergence of involuntary tremor symptoms, which can be manifested as involuntary tremor of the thumbs, obvious in the stationary state, but also may be accompanied by motor retardation and other manifestations.
The involuntary tremor of the thumb, after excluding physiological factors, should be taken seriously, and go to the regular hospital as soon as possible.
