How Effective is Snapdragon in Treating Nephrotic Syndrome?

Snapdragon is commonly known as morphemecogenol ester, the drug is more effective in treating nephrotic syndrome, and also effective in some refractory nephrotic syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome is mainly manifested as massive proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, edema and hyperlipidemia, which is not an independent disease, and most of them are caused by primary glomerular diseases, such as microscopic lesion nephropathy, membranous nephropathy, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, IgA nephropathy, etc. Usually, it is possible to use immune-suppressing agents such as morinomacrophenol ester, which has a better therapeutic effect. Matemacrophenol ester can selectively inhibit the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes and antibody formation. It is suitable for the treatment of rejection reaction after kidney and liver transplantation; induction and maintenance treatment of adult lupus nephritis type III-V; and nephrotic syndrome. It is also effective in some refractory nephrotic syndromes. This drug may cause infections, neutropenia, gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding, perforation and other adverse reactions. It is contraindicated in persons with hypersensitivity reactions to the product; pregnant women; women of childbearing age and breastfeeding women who are not using highly effective methods of contraception. Note that the combination of this product and azathioprine is not recommended because both may cause myelosuppression and co-administration has not been clinically studied. Patients with nephrotic syndrome are advised to use this medication appropriately under medical supervision to avoid adverse effects.
