Choice of chest wall radiotherapy for breast cancer patients after modified radical surgery

①General two-dimensional radiotherapy: 6MeV electron ray is used to irradiate the skin of chest wall, the irradiation depth of 6MeV electron ray is about 1.5cm, so after the ray reaches the deep surface of the skin, the dose is reduced to about 10% of the skin dose to achieve the treatment purpose of irradiating the skin and protecting the lung from over-irradiation; the treatment cost is about $3,000. ②3D conformal radiotherapy: also after CT scan, the chest wall is outlined as the target area for irradiation, and through the TPS computer software system, the angle of radiation irradiation and other parameters are designed, and X-rays are generally selected for tangential field irradiation, which can also reach the purpose of irradiating the chest wall, and the uniformity of radiation dose distribution may be slightly better than the previous way, but it takes longer and the treatment cost increases more, reaching about 20,000 yuan; ③3D Conformal intensity modulated radiotherapy: Theoretically, the optimal dose distribution can be achieved, but in practice, due to the large radiation field of the chest wall, sometimes it may be beyond the reach of the treatment equipment and cannot be realized.
