Is milia the same as milia?

Corns are not the same as milia, they have different causes and their treatments are different.
Milia occurs in hot and stuffy environments, where sweat does not evaporate easily and leaks into the surrounding tissues to stimulate an inflammatory reaction. In most cases, after cooling the skin and other treatments, milia will soon disappear without the need for medication. Those with severe symptoms may be treated with medications such as glycerite lotion to relieve discomfort.
Corns, also known as white acne, can be categorized as primary or secondary, with the former being genetically related and the latter associated with conditions such as abrasions and epidermolysis bullosa. It is a benign lesion that usually has no conscious symptoms and requires no treatment. If treatment is needed, the white granules can be picked out with a needle after local disinfection or treated using physical methods such as laser ablation or electrodesiccation.
All treatments for both milia and milia should be carried out under the supervision of a medical professional to avoid adverse reactions.
