What does primary insomnia mean?

Primary insomnia is mainly a sleep disorder caused by excluding other diseases. The sleep disorder can be manifested as difficulty in falling asleep, easy to wake up after sleeping, and the state of waking up when sleeping. The next day the patient appears to be in a trance and exhausted. The course of primary insomnia tends to start in young adulthood or middle age and rarely appears in childhood or adolescence. The course of insomnia varies widely and can be limited to a few months if caused by a psychological or medical stressful event. Some patients experience only one episode, but later experience significant fluctuations in sleep with certain life events.
