Acute pharyngitis usually recovers in a few days

The recovery time for acute pharyngitis varies depending on the etiology and prognosis, and needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Acute pharyngitis is an acute inflammation of the mucous membrane and submucous tissue of the body, often due to physical factors, bacterial and viral infections. For acute pharyngitis caused by physical factors, such as inhalation of dust and other irritating gases, recovery is usually possible in about 3-5 days through nebulized inhalation and drinking more water. For acute pharyngitis caused by bacterial and viral infections, the clinical manifestations are fever and pain in the throat, which can be treated by taking antibiotic drugs and can be recovered in about 7-14 days. For acute pharyngitis caused by infectious diseases, such as scarlet fever, measles and epidemic hemorrhagic fever, the recovery time of acute pharyngitis needs to be determined according to the primary disease. When patients develop symptoms of acute pharyngitis, they must promptly go to community hospitals or regular hospital ENT departments for active anti-inflammatory treatment. During the treatment period, pay attention to rest, drink more water and avoid spicy and stimulating food.
