Preventing stomach cancer starts with preventing H. pylori transmission

Helicobacter pylori is one of the causative factors of gastric cancer, so we should prevent infection of Helicobacter pylori in our life, which is a contagious germ, and the infection has a family gathering phenomenon, so how can we keep away from its threat? First of all, we should understand where H. pylori exists, it is understood that feces, saliva, dental tartar, vomit in the presence of H. pylori, drinking contaminated water, close contact with people infected with H. pylori, meals together, especially children in school between the contact and eat unclean food from roadside stalls, etc., can cause the spread of H. pylori. The proportion of H. pylori infection in our population is relatively high. H. pylori infection is not only limited to adults, but children can also be infected with H. pylori, which can be asymptomatic, but some children may have recurrent abdominal pain, vomiting, iron deficiency anemia, chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer, etc. Some children also have weight loss, growth retardation or decreased resistance. After detection, it should be treated actively. The key to the prevention of H. pylori is to cut off the transmission of H. pylori, so it is important to develop good hygiene habits and to wash hands before and after meals, especially before eating. Patients who have been found to have H. pylori should avoid close contact with others and take regular anti-H. pylori treatment.
