Ways to Eliminate Lipomas

There is only one way to eliminate lipomas, and that is by surgical removal, and they rarely go away on their own. If the lipoma is relatively small, less than 1cm in diameter, and has not increased in size over a long period of time, it usually does not require special treatment. If the lipoma is relatively large and shows signs of continuing to grow, especially if it occurs on the face and seriously affects aesthetics, surgical removal may be considered. If the location of the lipoma is deeper it may not be able to be removed completely, which will lead to recurrence, but generally will not develop malignant changes. Lipoma is mostly single, with smooth surface, clear boundary and soft texture. Lipomas also have multiple occurrences of varying sizes, which may not be completely removed in one surgery, and will require two surgeries, or even multiple surgeries. It is recommended to select larger lipomas for surgical removal.
