Kidney deficiency is a group of symptoms in Chinese medicine. In the process of disease (not kidney disease, even cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease), there are symptoms of kidney deficiency, including kidney yin deficiency, kidney yang deficiency, etc.; while kidney failure is a stage in the development of kidney disease in modern medicine, the clinical appearance of impaired kidney function, laboratory performance as elevated blood creatinine or urea and decreased glomerular filtration rate. Therefore, kidney deficiency and kidney failure are not equivalent and are two concepts.
