How much blood you donate can be used free of charge

Different regions have different requirements on the amount of blood to be donated for gratis use by non-remunerated blood donors, and the amount of blood to be donated for gratis use should be based on the regulations of the region to which the donor belongs. 1. Taking the blood donation regulations of Jiangsu Province as an example, unremunerated blood donors who donate up to 800 ml of blood can enjoy free blood for life; if the amount of blood donated is less than 800 ml, the amount of blood donated will be three times of the amount of blood donated to enjoy free blood, and parents, children, siblings, spouses and parents of spouses of the blood donors can be provided with a cumulative total of 800 ml of free blood if they need to use the blood. 2. In other regions, such as Zhejiang Province, it is stipulated that a cumulative total of 400 ml of blood donation can be used free of charge for the rest of one’s life, which is a great incentive for blood donors. 3. In most areas, including Shandong and Yunnan, a cumulative total of 1,000 ml of blood donation is required to enjoy free blood for life. Although the regulations on blood donation vary slightly from place to place, gratuitous blood donors themselves, their spouses and first-degree relatives are entitled to preferential treatment when using blood, and the state has vigorously safeguarded the immediate interests of gratuitous blood donors.
