Can I drink alcohol if I take ibuprofen?

You should not drink alcohol during taking ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a kind of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which will cause damage to the gastric mucosa and may cause gastric erosion or even ulcer, and alcohol will also cause damage to the gastric mucosa after drinking. If you take ibuprofen and drink alcohol, the damage to the mucous membrane of the stomach will be aggravated and the chance of causing gastric ulcer and even bleeding will be increased. If the patient drank alcohol in front and now has fever and needs antipyretic medicine, it is suggested that it is better to use compound diclofenac sodium injection to reduce fever intramuscularly, and low fever can be reduced by drinking more water. Of course, if itself is caused by infection or gastrointestinal flu, anti-infection and anti-viral treatment is needed.
