Survival time after glioma treatment

The late survival status of glioma patients is determined by the tumor pathology, the higher the grade of the tumor the shorter the survival time of patients, the lower the grade of the patients the longer the survival time, such as high-grade tumors with better pathology, the survival time is relatively prolonged. For example, the survival time of patients with grade IV glioma is 1.5-2 years, and the proportion of patients with survival time of 10-20 years is relatively low. On the other hand, most patients with grade I and II gliomas can survive for more than 5 years, and some patients with grade II gliomas have a high recurrence rate after 5 years, and the grade of recurrent gliomas also increases, which makes the treatment more difficult and the survival time relatively shorter.
