Can you get your nails done while breastfeeding?

Nail art is not recommended during breastfeeding. There are substances such as phthalic acid and formaldehyde in the process of manicure, and although they are not secreted into breast milk through the nails, they can affect the baby’s body if they come into contact with the baby after having a manicure. There is also a pungent odor after a manicure that may be difficult for the child to accept. If the child is allergic, contact with these chemicals may trigger itching, hives, allergic conjunctivitis and so on. So for the sake of your baby’s health, try not to get your nails done as there is no guarantee that the substances you come into contact with during the process of getting your nails done are completely non-toxic, and it is recommended that you wait until you are breastfeeding.
