Chalazion is also known as blepharophalangeal cyst. If the patient has recurrent blepharophalangeal cysts, it is mostly due to exuberant secretion function of the blepharophalangeal glands, chronic conjunctivitis, blepharitis and other reasons.
1. Exuberant secretion function of the blepharoplasty gland: teenagers or middle-aged people are prone to blepharoplasty cysts because of vigorous secretion of the body or excessive consumption of oily food in their diets, which can lead to vigorous secretion of the blepharoplasty gland and accumulation of secretions in the gland.
2. Chronic conjunctivitis: chronic conjunctivitis patients because of long-term inflammation stimulation, can lead to blepharosphenoid gland openings blocked, secretions can not be excreted, then blepharosphenoid cysts are prone to occur.
3. Blepharitis: In patients with blepharitis, inflammation of the lid margin can lead to blockage of the opening of the blepharoplasty glands, resulting in recurrent blepharocysts.
However, for middle-aged and old-aged patients, if blepharocysts recur, the possibility of blepharocarcinoma should be ruled out.
It is recommended that patients with blepharophalangeal cysts seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
