What causes heavy periods?

The term “great aunt” refers to menstruation. Heavy menstruation may be due to heavy menstruation itself. If the menstruation is usually regular and the amount of menstruation does not exceed 80ml, it is normal. If the amount of menstruation suddenly increases compared with the usual menstruation, it may be due to uterine submucous fibroid, endometrial polyp, endocrine disorders, abnormal blood clotting function and so on.
1. Submucous fibroids: Submucous fibroids are fibroids growing in the uterine cavity, usually projecting into the uterine cavity, which will obviously affect menstruation and lead to increased menstrual flow.
2. Endometrial polyp: it is a kind of common uterine cavity lesion with overgrowth of localized uterine lining, and the patient will have abnormal menstruation, such as heavy menstruation, prolonged menstruation or shortened menstrual cycle.
3. Endocrine disorders: the hormone level in the patient’s body is disturbed, which makes the uterine lining overgrowth, leading to more endometrial stripping and increased menstrual flow.
4. Abnormal coagulation function: patients with problems in coagulation function, bleeding is difficult to stop, resulting in excessive menstrual bleeding.
When abnormal menstruation occurs, it is necessary to consult a doctor in time for examination to clarify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
