What is the MRV test?

MRV is a non-invasive and effective cerebral venous angiography that can determine mainly whether there is thrombosis in the intracranial venous sinuses, but also whether there are cerebral arteriovenous fistulas and venous malformations. Intracranial venous thrombosis is a group of vascular diseases that includes intracranial venous sinus thrombosis and venous thrombosis. The incidence of intracranial venous sinus thrombosis is relatively low, but there are many serious complications and high mortality rate, except for cavernous sinus thrombosis, its clinical manifestations are complicated and lack of specificity, and it is easy to be missed and misdiagnosed by clinical and radiological departments. In intracranial venous sinus thrombosis, the venous sinus can be observed visually and stereoscopically from different directions and projections from different angles to further confirm the presence, extent and degree of venous sinus thrombosis. For venous sinus thrombosis, it is possible to clearly diagnose acute and chronic thrombosis that is difficult to diagnose by MRI without the influence of thrombus time change on the signal, and it can show straight sinus thrombosis and large cerebral vein thrombosis, and it can also follow up to observe whether the blood flow is recanalized and the blood flow condition.
