Morpholine is the trade name for domperidone. The medication course of domperidone usually does not exceed four weeks.
Domperidone can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, and can also coordinate the contraction of the pylorus and prevent bile reflux, and can be used to treat nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux and other diseases.
Domperidone may cause side effects such as dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, diarrhea, allergy, etc. Higher doses may also cause side effects such as increased prolactin or sudden cardiac death. Therefore, a course of treatment of more than four weeks is generally not recommended.
If the symptoms are not completely relieved, it is necessary to check the liver and kidney function, electrocardiogram, gastroscopy, abdominal ultrasound and other items, after the doctor’s comprehensive assessment and then follow the doctor’s instructions.
