Should you burp your baby right after feeding?

It is not necessary to burp your baby right after feeding, it depends on your baby’s condition. Whether the baby needs to be burped after feeding depends on whether the baby is comfortable or not. Mothers can first observe, if not burp, the baby is not obviously uncomfortable, then no need to burp, otherwise it will disturb the baby’s normal rest. If the baby suddenly becomes irritable while breastfeeding but is not full, it is possible that he/she needs to be burped first. If your baby eats quickly, he or she may swallow more air and needs to be burped first. Babies are more likely to take in air when they are fed from a bottle than from the breast, so they need to be burped more often. Whether your baby needs to be burped immediately after feeding depends on how your baby is behaving. As long as your baby is not obviously uncomfortable, burping is not necessary.
