1. 2. Functional gastrointestinal diseases: such as dyspepsia, gastrointestinal dysfunction, irritable bowel syndrome, can cause flatulence, in addition, the consumption of gas-prone foods, such as beans, beer, gas-producing beverages, etc., can cause short-term flatulence, the phenomenon of hiccups all the time, accompanied by a feeling of fullness, epigastric pain, regurgitation and persistent vomiting and other symptoms.
3. Central nervous system injury: such as brainstem injury, can cause persistent hiccups, but also can cause a decrease in the level of consciousness, dysphagia, loss of corneal reflexes on the opposite side of the injury, changes in breathing pattern, abnormal pupil reflexes and visual abnormalities.
