Diseases causing lumbar spine compression of the nerve are mostly lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, etc. The treatment of such diseases can be divided into general treatment, drug treatment and surgical treatment, as follows:
1. General treatment: after lumbar disc herniation and lumbar spondylolisthesis compress the nerves, you need to rest in bed for 1~3 weeks and reduce the activities on the ground. Physical therapy can be carried out in regular hospitals to reduce pain and eliminate muscle spasm. Acute episodes can wear a waist cuff.
2. Drug therapy: drugs are mainly used to control inflammation and reduce pain, mainly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, celecoxib, meloxicam, and when there is neural edema, dehydration can be used, such as mannitol.
3. Surgical treatment: patients with lumbar disc herniation have severe pain, and non-surgical treatment is ineffective for 3 months; patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis have repeated episodes of severe lumbago and leg pain, and non-pharmacological treatment is ineffective for 3 months; and patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis have surgical indications.
The above drugs have certain side effects, patients need to be used under the guidance of a physician to avoid adverse effects.
