Effects of Oseltamivir

“Oseltamivir is an antiviral drug that is used clinically for the treatment of influenza A and B in adults and children one year of age and older, as well as for the prophylaxis of influenza A and B in adults and adolescents 13 years of age and older. In terms of mechanism of action, the active metabolite of oseltamivir can effectively inhibit the neuraminidase activity of influenza A and B viruses, and has a good inhibitory effect on the growth of these viruses. Adverse effects of oseltamivir also need to be kept in mind during clinical application of oseltamivir therapy, and pediatric patients treated with oseltamivir should be more closely monitored, and interactions between oseltamivir and other medications taken by the patient should be noted during clinical application.”
