If the trauma to the arm is a superficial injury that has not injured the muscle or bone, you can hang up with the general surgery department, and the doctor will usually give treatment such as debridement, and then give a tetanus shot, with regular medication changes at a later stage. If there are obvious muscle cracks, or even signs of fracture, or numbness and immobility of the hand, you need to see orthopedics or hand, foot and ankle surgery, and the doctor will improve the relevant examinations, such as ultrasound and X-ray. If it is a fracture, cast immobilization or steel plate will be performed. If it is a tendon injury, anastomosis of the tendon is needed. If it is a large nerve injury, the anastomosis will be performed under a microscope. If the injury occurs on a holiday or at night, you can go to the Emergency Department, where the doctor will give you the relevant treatment first and refer you to another department if necessary. If the injury is a large abrasion or scarring in the later stages, you can register with the Department of Aesthetics for aesthetic reasons and be given the relevant treatment.
