Can a bulging amniotic sac shrink back?

Whether the amniotic sac can be retracted or not depends on the week of pregnancy and contractions, some can be retracted and some cannot. If the amniotic sac protrudes from the endocervix in mid-pregnancy, and the cervical os is still closed, without abdominal pain, it is considered that there is cervical insufficiency, which may lead to miscarriage, premature rupture of membranes, and so on, in time to the breech elevation, with the reduction of pressure on the endocervical os, some of them can be retracted, and cervical cerclage can be done if necessary. If the amniotic sac protrudes in late pregnancy, it may be time to go into labor, and we should get ready for the delivery in time. Expectant mothers should relax, don’t be nervous, and keep their strength to get ready for the delivery. Amniotic bursa protrusion requires bed rest and elevated buttocks, and the condition of the pregnant woman and the fetus should be monitored at all times; in conjunction with the gestational week, drugs to inhibit contractions as well as antibiotics to prevent infections should be used when necessary; for pregnant women with small gestational weeks, emergency cervical cerclage can be performed. If an examination reveals a bulging amniotic sac, the patient should be seen immediately by an obstetrician to determine the next step in treatment.
