What is poems syndrome?

POEMS syndrome is a multisystemic pathology related to plasma cell disease, where POEMS is the initials of each disease, P stands for multiple peripheral neuropathy, O stands for organ enlargement, E stands for endocrine disorder, M stands for M protein, and S stands for skin lesion, so it is a syndrome named after the combination of letters of various pathology terms. The typical clinical manifestations are pinprick-like or glove- or sock-like sensory abnormalities in the extremities and muscle weakness, which are usually treated with glucocorticoids and combined with immunosuppressive drugs.
