Among them, Zeran treats blood stasis and menstrual occlusion (stoppage of menstruation due to stagnation of blood), dysmenorrhea, and post-partum stasis and abdominal pain, etc. It is used with Angelica sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, and Radix et Rhizoma Cyperiopsis sinensis. It should be taken with caution if there is no blood stasis.
