Is it necessary to remove the upper and lower wisdom teeth together?

In most cases, upper and lower wisdom teeth need to be extracted, but there are cases where they don’t have to be extracted together, such as when some wisdom teeth are in the right position, there is no caries and other diseases, and there is an occlusal relationship with other teeth, they can be left out.
In most clinical cases, upper and lower wisdom teeth need to be removed. Therefore, wisdom teeth are often malpositioned, decayed, and cause resorption of neighboring teeth. It is common that if only one wisdom tooth is extracted from the upper and lower jaws, on the one hand, it will not be able to bear the function of chewing, and on the other hand, the wisdom tooth of the opposite jaw will be too long, causing food impaction. In a few cases, the wisdom teeth in one jaw are in occlusal relationship with other teeth and can be left out.
It is advisable to consult your doctor if it is necessary to extract both upper and lower wisdom teeth together.
