Difference between brain tumor headache and normal headache

The difference between a brain tumor headache and a common headache can be made by combining factors such as the duration of pain and associated adverse effects. 1. Pain duration: headache caused by brain tumor may be persistent and regular, usually the pain is more intense in lying position and cannot be relieved spontaneously, and the pain may be intensified with the increase of time. Common headaches may be intermittent, paroxysmal, and may resolve spontaneously with rest or sleep. 2. Related adverse reactions: headache caused by brain tumor may cause related adverse reactions, such as blurred vision, projectile vomiting, coma, hearing loss, etc., whereas common headache does not cause related adverse reactions and the pain will be gradually relieved after treatment. Headache caused by brain tumor usually has no obvious effect after taking painkillers. It is recommended that headache patients should go to the hospital for timely examination to clarify the cause and then carry out targeted treatment.
