Fibroids in the breast, in general, need surgery if they are larger than 1cm. It is relatively obvious on palpation when they are larger than 1cm, and it is clearer to do surgery. If they are clearly fibroids less than 1cm, they can also be operated on, and they must be guided by ultrasound for rotary surgery, which is now called minimally invasive surgery. Fibroids are a common disease and surgery is the only effective way to treat them, so aggressive treatment must be performed.
