Thyroid parenchyma thickening may be caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules and other disease factors, and need to be under the guidance of the doctor to carry out targeted treatment, such as medication, surgery and so on. 1. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis: when accompanied by hypothyroidism, you need to use levothyroxine to carry out hormone replacement therapy, and if there is no hypothyroidism, you don’t need special treatment. 2. Hyperthyroidism: anti-thyroid medications such as methimazole and propoxythiazole can be used as prescribed by the doctor; iodine radiation therapy can also be considered. 3. Thyroid nodules: benign and asymptomatic nodules do not require special treatment, and regular checkups are sufficient; malignant or thyroid nodules with compression symptoms need to be considered for surgical treatment. Patients with malignant thyroid nodules or those with compression symptoms need to consider surgical treatment. It is recommended to go to the hospital if there is thickening of the thyroid parenchyma.
