Black marks on the nose may be caused by solar dermatitis, melanosis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and so on.
1. Solar dermatitis: Solar dermatitis may be caused by prolonged exposure of the skin to excessive sunlight, or excessive exposure to ultraviolet light. Patients will have diffuse erythema, flaking, hyperpigmentation, blisters, burning pain and other symptoms on the exposed parts of the skin. If there is solar dermatitis in the nose area, it may leave hyperpigmentation, which will be localized as black marks.
2. Melanosis: the etiology of melanosis is not clear, and it is considered to be caused by drug factors, inflammation of the colon, and exposure to photosensitive substances. Patients will have skin pigmentation patches, itching, abdominal pain, constipation and other symptoms. If the patient develops melanosis, there will be black marks on the nose.
3. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may be caused by eczema, acne, trauma and other diseases. Patients will show skin pigmentation spots, and the color of the pigmentation spots can be light brown, brown and black. Therefore, patients with inflammation in the nose area will have black marks after the inflammation has healed.
There are other possible causes of black marks on the nose (e.g., junctional nevi, etc.), and it is recommended that patients seek timely medical attention to clarify the cause of the disease and then choose targeted treatment.
