A novel coronavirus infection caused by pneumonia has emerged in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, from December 8, 2019 to the present, causing worldwide concern, and the World Health Organization officially named the virus as 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). on February 7, 2020 the National Health Council named it NCP (Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia). on February 12, 2020, the Coronavirus Study Group of the International Committee on Classification of Viruses issued a statement officially naming the novel coronavirus as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, and on the same day WHO named the disease caused by the virus COVID-19.
