Tetanus desensitization injection method means dividing a single injection dose into 4 injections to reduce the risk of allergy in case of positive skin test for tetanus antitoxin.
1. 1st injection: 0.1 ml of tetanus antitoxin + 0.9 ml of saline is mixed and injected intramuscularly. Observe for 20 minutes after the injection, and continue to give the second injection if there are no symptoms of allergy or discomfort.
2. 2nd injection: mix 0.2 ml of tetanus antitoxin + 0.8 ml of saline and inject intramuscularly, observe for 20 minutes after injection, if there is no allergy or discomfort, continue to give the third injection.
3. 3rd injection: 0.3 ml of tetanus antitoxin + 0.7 ml of saline mixed with intramuscular injection, after injection and again observed for 20 minutes, if there is no allergy or discomfort symptoms can continue to give the fourth injection.
4. The fourth injection: 0.4 ml of tetanus antitoxin + 0.6 ml of saline mixed intramuscularly, after the completion of the injection, continue to observe for 30 minutes, if there is no discomfort can be ended.
