What kind of cervical spine film

The cervical spine requires different films depending on the location and the disease, and the need to focus on different diseases. If we simply look at whether there is osteophytes and whether the sequence of the cervical spine is normal, we only need to do four cervical spine films, that is, cervical spine orthogonal film, cervical spine lateral film and cervical spine double oblique film. This can reveal the presence of fractures, dislocations, foraminal stenosis, osteophytes, and other diseases. However, if you want to see whether there is a cervical disc herniation, you need to do a CT examination. If there is an occult fracture, a detailed examination is needed, and a CT examination is also required. If you need to find a mass occupying the spinal canal or to see a more detailed cervical disc herniation, an MRI of the cervical spine is needed.
