After a cesarean section, the discharge usually clears up in about 15-30 days, and as long as it clears up before 42 days, it is considered normal. There are two types of discharge: bloody discharge, plasma discharge and white discharge.
1. Bloody discharge: Postpartum discharge contains a large amount of blood, and under the microscope, there are a lot of red blood cells, necrotic meconium tissue, and a small amount of fetal membranes. Bloody discharge usually lasts for about 5-10 days.
2. Plasmacytoma: after the blood dyspareunia decreases, the dyspareunia will become plasmacytoma, which is light red in color. Under the microscope, there are necrotic meconium tissue, cervical mucus, exudate from the uterine cavity, a small number of red blood cells, white blood cells, bacteria and so on. Plasmacytoma usually lasts for about 10 days.
3. White Dew: Because of the increase of leukocytes, the dew becomes white. The white discharge contains a large number of leukocytes, and the microscope can see a large number of leukocytes, epidermal cells, necrotic meconium, bacteria, etc. The white discharge usually lasts for about 15 days. The white discharge usually clears up in about 15 days.
As long as the post-caesarean section is clean within 42 days, it is within the normal range. Once there is any abnormality in the puerperium, you need to go to the hospital in time, and the doctor will formulate an individualized diagnosis and treatment plan according to the specific condition, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
