Rectal mucosal prolapse is clinically known as rectal prolapse. There is little association between frequent farting and rectal prolapse. Frequent farting is usually caused by flatulence, indigestion and constipation. Whereas rectal prolapse does not usually lead to increased farting. Rectal prolapse mainly manifests as the rectal mucosa prolapsing from the anus, which can cause incomplete bowel movement and a feeling of falling down, increased frequency of bowel movement, anal incontinence and so on. And frequent farting is caused by the increase of gas in the intestines, which may be caused by flatulence, indigestion, constipation and so on. There is little correlation between frequent farting and rectal prolapse. Patients with rectal prolapse are advised to undergo prompt treatment with sclerotherapy and, if necessary, surgery. Clinical cure can usually be achieved after active treatment. Meanwhile, patients should go to the hospital and undergo relevant examinations to identify the cause of frequent farting.
