Intestinal ulcers should be treated with medication along with patient education and elimination of the cause of the disease, so that the conditioning is better faster. 1. Drug therapy: drug therapy is mainly divided into drugs to inhibit gastric acid secretion, drugs to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (HP) and drugs to protect gastric mucosa. (1) Drugs that inhibit gastric acid secretion include H2 receptor antagonists, such as famotidine, which are more effective and affordable. In addition, proton pump inhibitor drugs (PPI) such as omeprazole can also inhibit gastric acid secretion, which is the drug of choice for the treatment of intestinal ulcers. (2) Eradication of HP is usually done with 1 PPI + 2 antibiotics + 1 bismuth, PPI such as omeprazole, antibiotics such as clarithromycin, amoxicillin, etc., bismuth such as bismuth potassium citrate. (3) Drugs to protect the gastric mucosa include bismuth agents such as bismuth potassium citrate and weakly alkaline antacids such as aluminum phosphate. 2. Patient education: patients should quit bad habits that irritate the stomach and intestines, such as smoking, drinking and irregular diet. 3. Elimination of etiological factors: patients with HP infections, long-term use of NSAIDs, etc. can cause intestinal ulcers, patients should go to the hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions to take anti-HP medications or adjust the type of NSAID dosage. It is recommended that patients consult the attending physician, do not take medication without authorization, to avoid causing drug allergies and other conditions.
