Don’t underestimate low back pain!

Osteoporosis is common, but people often do not pay enough attention to it. Currently, the incidence of osteoporosis is increasing. Low back pain is one of the main symptoms of osteoporosis, for older friends, pay more attention to such “minor problems” as low back pain, maybe you sneeze and you will fracture! A. What are the causes of low back pain? 1, orthopedic diseases, such as: osteoporosis and the resulting fracture of the thoracolumbar vertebrae, spinal bone and joint hyperplasia and degeneration, lumbar disc protrusion, spinal stenosis, chronic strain on the low back, etc. 2, respiratory system diseases, such as: lung cancer, pleurisy, can cause pain in the back and side shoulder nail area. Do not underestimate low back pain 3, cardiovascular diseases, such as: angina pectoris, aortic aneurysm. 4, digestive system diseases, gastroduodenal ulcer, pancreatitis. 5, urinary system diseases, such as: urinary system tumors, stones. 6, prostatitis and prostate cancer in men; adnexitis, uterine prolapse and pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can also cause lumbosacral pain. Therefore, once you find low back pain, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible to clarify the cause and treat the cause. Second, what are the symptoms of osteoporosis in addition to the symptoms of pain? 1, spinal deformity: height shortening (in the 60s and 70s, height is 5-10 cm shorter than when young, or even more), hunchback, these symptoms usually appear after the pain. 2. Fracture: The most common osteoporotic fractures are hip fracture, femoral neck fracture, and intertrochanteric fracture of the femur. Low back pain can be caused by a post-compression fracture of the thoracolumbar vertebrae; others include distal radius fracture, wrist fracture, and proximal humerus fracture. These can be fractures that occur with very little force in everyday life; opening a window, holding a cup, or even sneezing can lead to osteoporotic fractures. If you suspect you have osteoporosis, go to the hospital for a bone density test as soon as possible. There are two diagnostic criteria for osteoporosis: a T value below -2.5 or a fragility fracture (a fracture caused by no or minor trauma), and the diagnosis can be confirmed if one of these criteria is met.
