What is leukocytology?

Leukocytology is a method of checking whether a woman’s vagina is inflamed, and the main tests include Gardnerella, Trichomonas, mycobacteria, epithelial cells, erythrocytes and other related items. Normal female vaginal microflora includes Lactobacillus, Gardnerella, Digestive Coccus, Mycoplasma and Pseudomonas. Once the ecological balance of the vagina is disturbed or invaded by exogenous pathogens, it can lead to inflammation, which can be detected by leukocytologic examination. Common inflammatory conditions include bacterial vaginosis, which is mainly due to anaerobic bacteria such as Gardnerella, mycosis fungoides, which is mainly caused by molds, and trichomoniasis, which is mainly caused by trichomonas.
