What’s wrong with blisters on the feet

Blisters on the feet may be the result of tinea pedis. Generally if the foot is infected with fungus, it may cause local inflammatory changes. After the inflammatory change, spongiform edema may appear in the granular layer of the skin of the foot, and when the spongiform edema develops to a certain extent, then small papules may appear, and if the papules develop further, blisters may appear. If the blisters do not subside completely, they may break down and cause a certain amount of vesicles. This is what we usually see as blistering tinea pedis or vesicular tinea pedis. Vesicular dermatophytosis also develops from blistering dermatophytosis.
