Treatment of Exfoliative Lipitis

The treatment of exfoliative lipitis includes promoting healing, moisturizing the lips, and avoiding irritating factors, as follows.
1. Promote healing: local injection of tretinoin solution or prednisolone suspension is good for healing and reducing lip exudation, and the injection can be stopped when the condition improves.
2. Moisturize the lips: apply petroleum jelly or glycerin on a daily basis, if infection occurs, you can use tretinoin ointment, gentamycin ophthalmic ointment and other topical rubbing.
3. Avoid stimulating factors: quit smoking, alcohol, spicy food, avoid wind, sun, cold stimulation, correct the bad habit of spitting and licking lips.
All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor. If the symptoms of exfoliative lipitis are severe and continue to remain unimproved, you should go to the hospital in a timely manner.
