What does MRI + enhancement mean?

Magnetic resonance + enhancement means that the patient needs to undergo both magnetic resonance scanning and magnetic resonance enhancement at the same time, which is a commonly used examination method in the clinic. Patients who find abnormalities during other examinations need to undergo MRI enhancement to clarify the nature of the lesion. If the patient has not previously undergone MRI of the corresponding area, he/she needs to undergo both MRI scanning and MRI enhancement. The former is a normal scan, while the latter requires intravenous injection of contrast medium to visualize the lesion, which will form a clear contrast between the lesion and normal tissue, and will help to find and characterize the lesion. Depending on the area to be examined, you can consult with your primary care physician or the person responsible for the MRI demonstration.
