What to take for a black tongue

Black tongue should be treated by differentiating the cause of the condition, and commonly used therapeutic drugs include antifungal drugs and sodium bicarbonate. Black tongue often has the following conditions:
1. Physiological causes. If you eat food or drugs containing melanin or smoke excessively, your tongue will turn black, and you don’t need to take medicine to treat it.
2. Pathological causes. If the systemic immunity is lowered and a rhizomatous black mold infection occurs, filamentous hyperplasia occurs and the tongue turns black. This situation requires the use of antifungal drugs, such as oral fluconazole and ketoconazole, and the use of sodium bicarbonate gargle for treatment.
If you find a black tongue, you should seek medical advice and treatment under the guidance of your doctor. Maintain a healthy diet, pay attention to oral hygiene, quit smoking and alcohol.
