There is generally no difference between the side effects of the drug Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets 5mg and 10mg, including abnormal liver function, gastrointestinal abnormalities, and endocrine disorders.
1. Liver function abnormalities: generally appear after 1~2 weeks of oral administration of Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets, mainly characterized by elevation of glutamyltransferase and transpeptidase.
2. Gastrointestinal tract abnormalities: Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets have certain gastrointestinal irritation, which can lead to gastrointestinal reactions such as constipation, nausea and abdominal pain.
3. Endocrine disorders: elevated blood glucose concentrations can be observed in patients using Rosuvastatin, which can seriously lead to primary type 1 diabetes mellitus.
It should be noted that hypersensitivity to Rosuvastatin or to any of the components of the drug is contraindicated. As well as active liver disease, severe renal impairment, pregnancy and lactation are prohibited. And it is forbidden to combine it with cyclosporine.
